Global Talent Track (GTT) is a venture which aims to address the current gap in the demand and supply of trained manpower and is designed 'to deliver quality with scale'. Global Talent Track is a venture promoted by seasoned industry professionals from IT, Banking, BPO and Education sectors, plans to provide a range of short and long term courses in a number of vocational fields and will train 5,00,000 people in five year's time. Global Talent Track plans to create a unique eco system for supporting employment generation and will address the entire value chain for
addressing the needs of students.
Global Talent Track is formed by successful industry professionals with rich background in IT, BPO, Banking, Education and Retail sectors. Global Talent Track will work closely with universities and industry to design career oriented learning content, provide the technology platform appropriate to host the content and manage the entire learning delivery process.
The Advisory Board of GTT comprises of industry veterans namely, Dr. Ganesh Natarajan, Chairman, NASSCOM and CEO, Zensar Technologies, Mr. Kiran Karnik, Former President of NASSCOM, Gen. (Retd.) S.S. Mehta Former Dir. General, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Rumi Contractor CEO, HSBC Global Resourcing and Dr. Robert Eccles, Harvard Business School.
CISCO would be the Technology Partner to the consortium and will provide the necessary technology platform and networking solutions for delivering the programme successfully. Global Talent Track will lead the consortium in providing complete solutions to the universities and educational institutions in setting up the infrastructure and oversee the entire project.

She has over 25 years experience in IT, BPO, Media and Education sectors. Her last assignment before setting up GTT was Global Head for Strategy and Business Development for HSBC Global Resourcing. The business employed 35,000 people across 15 centres in 5 countries. Prior to this, she was the CEO of Zee Interactive Learning Systems and was the Head of Education at Aptech and NIIT responsible for setting up a network of learning centres both in India and at international locations. Her book entitled 'Unleashing the Knowledge Force' has been published by McGraw Hill Publications. Uma has done her MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies and her PhD from IIT Bombay.
