Sourabh Jain

Sourabh started his entrepreneurial journey in 2004 with the launch of JiGrahak Mobility from his apartment room. Prior to that, he worked with the mobile networks division of Lucent Technologies in India.

Sourabh comes from a middle-class business family and has always had an inherent interest in seeing how the business was run. Sourabh was active even in high school, handling different aspects of his family's commodities trading business and setting up a garment manufacturing unit.

Sourabh joined Lucent Technologies after receiving his computer science degree from the Delhi Institute of Technology. While at Lucent, he sensed a big opportunity unfolding in the mobile data domain. With a small core team, he spent the next few years building the mobile data services platform that would enable JiGrahak to launch ngpay, the brand name for the India's first - and fastest-growing - mobile commerce service.

ngpay was launched to the mass market in February 2008 and offers mobile commerce & banking services from a fast-growing network of merchants, banks, and service providers.
